About Reclamation ProductsRecycled Lumber & Timber Frame Buildings

Image Sample Reclamation products is an environmentally friendly company located in East Tennessee. All of our barn wood, beams, and log cabins are reclaimed wood ranging in date from 1800’s to the early 1900’s. You can rest a sure that you’re truly getting a piece of Appalachian history.
We take pride in recycling and using Earth’s natural resources while preserving the history of the southern Appalachians. Reclamation Products Founder, William Barrett already a local successful business owner, started dismantling barns and cabins with a team of craftsmen with over 20 years experience. William is a life time resident of the area and has always favored the use of products that are the environmental responsible choice.  We are proud to be a preserver of history and an armament of the future.

We can either sell the cabins as they are, or we can recondition them.  We do prefer to sell our cabins as a reconditioned product.

Our reconditioned cabins have the following:
We renotch  all logs, using a 1/2 dovetail.  All joints fit snug and tight.  We replace all rotten logs, and reerect  the structure to make sure all walls are level and square.  We pressure wash and chemically treat each cabin for insects.  With a reconditioned cabin we can customize window and door placement.  We can also combine structures to create a larger house or lodge.   Included are rafters, floor joists, and front porch posts and hand rail materials.  Our reconditioned cabins are ready to be set on your foundation.  Reerection on your foundation is a speedy process and is one of the services that we offer.

Reclaimed Wood is 'Green'Reclaimed Wood - Go Green - Vintage Barns - Log Cabins - Old Lumber

There is growing popularity of using reclaimed wood in refurbishment projects and new construction. It’s a “green” product and doesn’t require cutting down a forest to make. Comparing it to distressed new wood, it looks better and has a rich patina. Distressing new wood is a little strange considering you can buy authentic vintage wood antiques, flooring etc.. Reclaimed wood looks authentic and suits both a contemporary interior and a traditional decor.
